We’re incredibly proud to share that Hang 10 Distillery has been awarded Highly Commended for Sustainability at the Northern Beaches Local Business Awards for 2025!
The award, presented by Northern Beaches Council, recognises businesses that embed sustainable practices across their operations, going above and beyond what’s expected for their size or industry.
At Hang 10, sustainability has been at the heart of our journey from the very beginning, not just as a trend, but as a genuine commitment to doing business in a better way.
Here are some of the key reasons we were recognised:
🥖 We make spirits using surplus sourdough bread from local bakeries, reducing food waste and creating something delicious in the process.
🔋 Our distillery runs on 100% renewable energy, with all packaging plastic-free.
🍾 We offer a bottle return program to help close the loop on waste. (So if you have any empty bottles sitting at home, bring them back to the distillery for 10% off your next one!)
While we’re still a small business (and still learning every day), we’re proud to show that ethical innovation and environmental responsibility are not only possible, they’re essential.
