About our products
How are you a sustainable distillery?
Hang 10 Distillery only exists because we found a way to make a difference in climate change and reduce greenhouse gasses. Here are some of the ways we are sustainable:
- We have plastic-free packaging
- We use 100% renewable energy for all of our distilling and processes
- Our base is made from surplus bread, further reducing carbon emissions. Using surplus food helps local businesses by reducing the cost of waste removal by large trucks.
- We are working with local suppliers to reduce further the distance the ingredients are travelling.
- We strive to keep innovating and finding new ways in reducing our carbon footprint and to give back to the oceans.

What does Hang 10 Mean?
“Hanging 10" or “Hang 10” is the ultimate surf technique on a longboard where you hang your ten toes over the nose of the board while surfing. This is a very advanced technique that every longboarder dreams of achieving one day! Being two passionate surfers and longboarders ourselves, we loved the name “Hang 10” as it reminds us to keep striving for our dreams.
Are your spirits gluten free?
The process of distilling alcohol made from gluten products removes the proteins associated with gluten intolerance. It should therefore be gluten-free.
We have tested our products with no detectable gluten. However, please seek professional advice before purchasing if you have a specific gluten intolerance.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?
In the unfortunate event of a breakage in shipping, please get in contact with us as soon as possible within 24 hours of the order being received. Please provide photos and evidence of the break and after assessment, we will organise a replacement or refund.
Do you allow Local Pickup?
Yes, we offer free pick up! Place your order as normal and select free pick up in the check out options. Pick up is from Hang 10 Distillery, 48/5 Ponderosa Parade, Warriewood. You'll receive an email when it's ready to pick up. Pick up is usually during opening hours but can be arranged at other times if needed.
How long does it take to ship?
The regular shipping time is around 3-7 days to all metro locations and a little longer for regional locations.

Can I buy more than one bottle from you?
You sure can! Shipping might just be a little bit more expensive. If you want to buy a lot of bottles and you are local, feel free to message us so we can organise it smoothly for you.
What is a Bakers Dozen?
A baker's dozen is thirteen instead of a regular dozen (12). In medieval England, some laws related the price of bread to the cost of the wheat used to make it. Bakers who were found to be "cheating" their customers by overpricing undersized loaves were subject to strict punishment, including fines or flogging. Even with careful planning, it is difficult to ensure that all of your baked goods come out the same size. For fear of accidentally coming up short, Bakers would throw in an extra loaf, making it a baker's dozen 13 loaves to ensure they didn't get any punishment. Since our products are made from bread and working with bakers, we thought it would be neat to use 13 botanical infrequence and call our first gin "Baker's Dozen."
Can I buy your spirits outside of Australia?
We can sell and ship outside of Australia however, it may be a bit more complicated because of taxes when you receive an alcohol product in your country. If you would like to purchase from overseas, it might be best to drop us an email and we can see how to best ship it to you. Otherwise, feel free to buy a tee-shirt or hat from us, it is a lot easier to ship overseas.
I ordered online and I am still waiting for a confirmation order?
Firstly, thank you for buying our product! You should receive a confirmation email shortly (check your spam folder if you didn’t). You’ll receive another email once your order has been processed and is ready to ship. If you ordered on a Friday or the weekend, your product will be shipped on Monday. We aim to ship our products as soon as we can!

What do I do if I've never received my order?
You should have received a tracking number with your order and should be able to track where the item is. If you’ve never received the order, you can get in touch directly via the shipping company quoting your tracking number and contact us to let us know.
How to I make changes to an order I've already placed?
If you need to make changes to your order, contact us immediately with your order number and we’ll sort it out.
How do I make sure to order the right t-shirt size?
Check the tee-shirt shop page to look at the different sizes. All sizes run pretty close to standard sizes. If we don’t have your size, please contact us, and we will ensure the next batch has your size.

Visting our distillery, bar, cellar door & brewery
What are your opening hours?
Our distillery bar is open on Thursdays 5 to 9pm, Fridays 3pm to 10pm and Saturdays 2pm to 10pm. Please note that we may have special or changing hours for holidays or events, so we recommend checking our website, google maps or social media channels for the latest updates.

Can I buy take-away bottles?
Definitely! We sell our own gin, vodka & Whisky bottles that you can buy at the bar and take home. And when you bring back your empty bottle, we’ll give you 10% off the next bottle purchase. We also sell take-away cans + long neck beers now from our collab with Half-Pace Brewing Company. Thank you for supporting local and craft when you buy from our distillery!
Do you make your own spirits & beer?
We sure do! We make our own spirit from scratch using leftover bread and grain and distil it into gin and vodka. Check out our process here. We also make our own beer in collaboration withHalf Pace Brewing Company. See here how we make our spirits.
Do you provide food?
Yes, we do! We currently have delicious pizzas that you can order with your drinks as well as a few snack options. We also have Vegan and Gluten-Free options. We may introduce new food options in the future too. You can check the menu here.
Do you have any gluten-free, vegan or dairy-free options?
Yes we do! We have a gluten-free pizza base so we can make a GF pizza. We also have a vegan pizza. Please note that if you are celiac, we cook the gluten-free pizza bases in the same oven as the normal sourdough bases so it may not be suitable. We also offer a corn chips & beetroot hummus snack that's also vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.
Do I need to make a reservation to visit the bar?
Yes we recommend booking a table to make sure you don't miss out,bookings here. We take bookings for groups of up to 8 people. If you'd like a bigger group, please contact us directly thank you. We take bookings up to 3 hours before the booking so we have enough time to prepare. If you need to book last minute, please message us through our instagram page as we're pretty responsive and can try to arrange a table.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Outside food and drinks are not permitted in our distillery bar. We hope you enjoy our own craft drinks ranging from spirits to beer. We offer a selection of pizzas that we make ourselves. We also have non-alcoholic options and wine for those who want something different.Menu here.
Do you offer guided tours of the distillery?
Yes we do and you can book it here! Join us for an immersive gin tasting and distillery tour like no other! Explore our award-winning, sustainably crafted spirits, and witness firsthand how we transform leftover bread into premium gin and vodka, reducing food waste while creating something truly special.

Are children allowed in the distillery bar?
We welcome guests of all ages and we ask that children be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. There are a few games you can help yourselves to as well, feel free to bring your own games if you'd like too!
Do you offer non-alcoholic options?
Yes, we offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including soft drinks, non-alcoholic beer and mocktails to cater to all preferences.
Is there parking available onsite?
Yes, there’s plenty of parking around the distillery. However, spaces may be limited during peak hours, so we recommend arriving early or carpooling or catching public transport if possible.
I am a wheelchair user, can I come to your distillery?
Of course, we’d love to have you at the distillery! Don’t hesitate to reach out to us in advance so we can book a suitable table for you and your group. We can also provide easy access to park at the distillery. Our bathroom is also wheelchair accessible.
Do you have gift cards available for purchase?
Yes, we offer gift cards that can be redeemed for purchases at our distillery bar or online store. They make the perfect gift for any occasion!
Do you have happy hour?
We now do! Join us on Happy Thursdays with Happy Hour from 5 to 7 pm to enjoy our delicious craft drinks. We have:

$12 Vodka Yuzu Spritz
$16 Classic Cocktails (Cosmo, Tom Collins, Clover Club only.)

Do you accept private events?
We have accept semi-private events on any day we're open. Fully private events are possible on all days except Friday + Saturday. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us regarding your event if we can make it work. Please note that our venue capacity is limited so get in touch when you can if you have a really big group.
Do you serve Wine?
Yes, we do! We offer a curated selection of white, red, rosé, and prosecco for wine lovers. However, as a distillery and brewery, our primary focus is on crafting unique spirits and beers. While our wine selection is limited, we invite wine enthusiasts to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of Hang 10 Distillery, and who knows, you might find a new favourite among our signature cocktails or craft brews!
What are the terms & conditions of a booking?
We know this is boring stuff, but there are some terms and conditions when booking. When booking a table with Hang 10 Distillery, you’re agreeing to the following:
- Bookings are only for groups of up to 8 people to stay within our capacity limit. If your group is bigger, please contact us. If you show up with a bigger group we may not be able to sit everyone if the distillery is busy.
- Your booking is only for the time you selected and no other time.
- Your booking time is for 2.5 hours. After this time, you will no longer be guaranteed a table if the venue is busy or booked out. You're welcome to stay in the venue, your table may be given up for walk-ins or other bookings.
- If you or your guests are more than 15 minutes late and the space is at capacity, you will need to wait until a spot becomes free.
- If you use our Sites and Services, you may receive communication via email in accordance with our privacy policy. If you no longer want to be part of our database customer database or to be contacted in this manner, please contact the venue in which you made the reservation to be removed.
- Please advise us 24 hours prior to your booking if you decide to cancel. We do not charge for bookings so rely on your honesty.
- As a courtesy, you agree to contact us if you have any changes, updates or need to cancel your reservation.
- Your reservation will be allocated to the best available table at the time of your reservation.
- Any special requests made will be catered for by the venue as best as possible.
- If you’d like to book on the day, please contact us via social media or send a message through the website and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.
