CASUAL BAR SUPERVISOR

We're looking for an experienced Casual Bar Supervisor to join our growing team at Hang 10 Distillery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality but is looking for a more relaxed, community-focused venue than a large pub or late-night bar. You'll play an important role in helping run day-to-day service, supporting other team members, and creating a great experience for our customers.
We currently offer casual shifts Thursday to Sunday, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business grows.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on hospitality and leadership role within our distillery bar, taproom and cellar door.
You will be responsible for opening and closing shifts, serving customers, making cocktails and drinks, running food, maintaining venue presentation, supporting staff, and ensuring service runs smoothly when owners are not present.
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes initiative, and enjoys being part of a small team where no two shifts are exactly the same.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
• Has at least 2 years hospitality or bar experience
• Feels confident running a shift independently
• Has experience making cocktails and serving alcohol
• Can confidently open and close a venue
• Can supervise and support staff during service
• Brings positive energy and communicates well with customers and team members
• Is reliable, organised and proactive
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Uses initiative and solves problems calmly
• Can stay professional during both busy and quiet shifts
• Has an interest in craft spirits, cocktails, beer and hospitality
BONUS IF YOU:
• Have previous supervisor experience
• Have worked in a distillery, brewery, bar or craft-focused venue
• Have stock control or ordering experience
• Are interested in the production side of brewing or distilling
• Want to grow with a small independent business long term
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid RSA
• Minimum 2 years hospitality experience
• Australian working rights
• Availability across Thursdays, Fridays and weekends
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for a shift
• Long-term reliability preferred
• Northern Beaches/local applicants preferred
