Meet the second release of The Goofy Barrel, our small-batch Australian whisky crafted from surplus sourdough bread and NSW malted barley.

Aged for three years in an American oak ex-rye bourbon and ex-maple syrup cask, this whisky brings together rich vanilla, rye spice and a lingering maple sweetness.

Made from scratch at our distillery on Sydney's Northern Beaches, this is another slightly unconventional take on Australian whisky.

Why It’s Special

This is not your typical whisky.

Like our first release, Rye Maple starts with two simple ingredients: malted barley and surplus sourdough bread, giving ingredients that might otherwise go to waste a second life.

Distilled in Warriewood and aged for three years in American oak, Release Nº02 takes a different direction from our original Goofy Barrel, with the influence of the ex-rye bourbon cask and ex-maple syrup cask, giving layers of sweetness and spice.

Sweet, creamy and warming, with notes of pineapple, maple, vanilla and rye, followed by a lingering maple sweetness.
